We are proud of the success our students experience after graduation. On average, 29 alumni per year will be accepted to professional or graduate schools. According to a project Kaleidoscope report, Hendrix ranked 22nd of all Liberal Arts I colleges and universities in the nation in the percentage of alumni who were biology majors. Our acceptance rate to medical schools averages almost twice the national average. A report by the Franklin and Marshall College indicated that we ranked 107th of all institutions of higher education in the U.S. in the number of Life Sciences Ph.D.'s earned by our alumni. Note that we are among the very smallest of all the institutions to which we are being compared since we enroll only 1,100 students. This small number of students provides some large benefits, however, as we can provide a nurturing yet intellectually challenging environment and the individual mentoring which allows students to achieve their highest goals.
